Chris and I recently went on a wee little break to Hobart – mostly to visit MONA (amazing), and also to relax, eat and drink, and take some very overdue time off! We stayed right in the middle of Hobart which I loved as we could walk everywhere. Plus, Hobart is so little you really CAN walk everywhere! Every day we walked along Sullivans Cove and looked at all the boats – always a mixture of new boats and beautiful old wooden boats.
One evening we had dinner at Smolt in Salamanca Place. So good. I’d done a LOT of website checking and Urbanspoon reading to find somewhere that would have nice vegetarian food – one thing you will always hear in relation to vegetarian and especially vegan food in Hobart is that there are so many options for lunch and so few for dinner!
We started with drinks and arancini – my favourite was the Spuma Nera softdrink – rhubarb flavoured! What!
Pizza, salads and sides, and a delicious Chocolate Marquis for dessert.
Dress: Vintage from Hunter Gatherer, shoes: Melissa Campanas, purse: Nancybird Line Clutch (now on sale!), bangles: collected on my travels!
I love this dress, it reminds me of something Joan Holloway might wear.
After dinner we relaxed in the nearby park, listened to buskers and looked at the boats.
Hobart has amazing boats.
xx Penny

I like the look of that dessert!
